Sullivan Walsh Associates formed a community of sales force staffing experts from companies such as Motorola, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, Northwestern Mutual Life, MCI, Lanier Worldwide, Procter & Gamble, and Pepsico. As a community, we developed ideal practices, tackling topics such as: ideal relationships with recruiters, interviewing methodology, value of "tests" in the selection process, ideal division of responsibilities in sales force staffing, training for participants in the sales force staffing process, economics of sales force turnover, the value of effective on-boarding, career paths in sales, and sales compensation practices.
