Sullivan Walsh Associates formed a community of call center managers from direct marketing companies such as Sears, Orvis, Swiss Colony, Appleseeds, Sundance, Mason Companies, Knights Direct, Blair, Hanover Direct, Miles Kimball, and Home Decorator's Collection. Because call center leaders from direct marketing companies have highly similar responsibilities, the community collaborated on a wide range of topics relevant to every member. Topics included call center measures of success, scheduling, turnover reduction, job design, seasonality, productivity expectations, recruitment and selection, and selection of vendors.
